About CHIA

Connecticut is growing some of the finest hemp in the country right now.

Everyone knows about the CT River Valley and its world-renowned soils and unique micro-climate - but we have experienced farmers throughout the state - and experienced greenhouse growers who’ve transitioned to hemp. We also have great extractors and manufacturers and brands and stores which feature our products. It’s really about the people - and we’re building a hemp community where we can all support each other and work together to help promote our hemp industry here in CT.

As you probably know, we’re a non-profit representing CT hemp growers and the hemp manufacturers, distributors, retailers, businesses and consumers in our state. We do this by:

Advocating for fair, responsible and business-friendly hemp legislation, policy and regulations.
Educating and informing the public about the health, environmental and economic benefits of hemp.
Providing networking and educational events throughout the State for hemp people.
Working collaboratively with our members, government officials and the scientific/research community to promote innovation and to help establish standards and best practices.
Showcasing our hemp farmers, manufacturers, and business members.
Providing a hub for hemp info in CT - and promoting CT Grown hemp.
